First of all, let me say that our server was very nice and capable. We were a large party of 10 adults and 4 children. She kept our drinks full and our table loaded with breadsticks. As usual, I ordered the soup and salad combo. The Zuppa Toscana has always been my favorite soup at Olive Garden, but this time it was soooo watery! There was hardly anything in it. The second bowl, which the server said was from a "fresh" batch, was better, but in no way was it like it used to be. It used to be a nice hardy soup, now it's basically a whitish broth with a couple pieces of sausage and a couple slices of potato. Very disappointing. Speaking of disappointments: Unfortunately my husband didn't read the previous Yelper's review of Olive Garden because he ordered the Chicken Marsala ($14.95). Let me just say, "Yuck!" The chicken was mushy and tasted like old teriyaki sauce. The potatoes that were with it were overcooked and dry. It was so gross! My sister ordered the Tour of Italy. It tasted fine, but the Fettuccine Alfredo was all dried out. It appeared that her plate must have sat under a heat lamp for a little too long. The highlights of our meal were the salad, which is always pretty good, and the Andes mints at the end (i love those things!). Oh, and our friendly server. I think her name is Alysia... though I am probably misspelling it.

I can honestly say this is the best Olive Garden I've been to. I had Kenneth as my server(there were 5 of us), and he was incredibly friendly and professional with all of us. All drinks, breadsticks and soup/salad were quickly provided as needed, no complaints at all. I had the chicken gnocchi soup, lasagna fritta and chicken parmigiana. Everything was delicious, and by far the best I've had from an Olive Garden. Easy 5/5.

The food was better than mediocre! The service was good and on point however, it seemed the waiter wanted to play a battle of wits more than be polite but only at 1st. You know what they say about the help... Throw out Benjamin and the tune will change. The experience was nice and they didn't mind that I hung out and engaged in conversation following my meal. The only issue was fruit flies. Yup. There were some around. Hard to get rid of them. My advice? Don't sit in a booth. Then again don't eat at a place where pajama pants and wife beater undershirts are allowed at 6pm either when you expect more than fast food. 4 stars if it wasn't for the flies. Piss poor attitudes are to be expected when your waiter is a thug trying to prove otherwise.

It's Olive Garden. Drinks were good. Sub par. Beeee as cold and refreshing. Their salad and breadsticks are the best thing there! I always get their seafood Alfredo and it's amazing.

We took other Yelpers' advice and went to the Panama City location instead of the Panama City Beach location, even though it was farther away. My husband and I both had the four course special, which is a great value for the $. Service was great; our only complaint was the large number of "you guys" we had to tolerate from our server during the dining time, and we felt a bit rushed (later Sunday evening-plenty of tables available). But would go back, as the food was very good.

Great staff! The restaurant was very clean and the food was great. They updated the menu with a lot more choices. We went to dinner here a couple of times and always received great service. Would definitely go back in the near future.

This is by far the best Olive Garden I have been to in this country. Our Server Casey was so courteous and apologetic when our soup didn't show up on time. Just about everything seemed right about this place. Food, decor, ambiance and service were outstanding!

Although we showed up close to closing time we had a great dinner. Only problem we had was a mixup with the Splenda and Sweet and Low. We asked numerous times for Splenda and she kept bringing the pink stuff. Finally she got it right. Another table was complaining about something don't know what it was but seemed to be miffed about something being ruined. Overall a good dinner and would come back.

This service has gotten better. I think this place has the best kids sticker book. It kept my kids entertained the whole time and the service was so much better than last time we came here. The food was ok. I like the atmosphere.

Love the Soup n Salad, my daughter got pizza- outstanding .... The service was lacking however.... Our waitress often disappeared at times and hard to find ... We had to request things more than once ...

Pretty typical Olive Garden. Prices are a bit high for the chain-style Italian food you will get here, but it's not bad. The soup, salad, and breadsticks is probably the best deal to be found here, as the soups and salads are some of Olive Garden's best items. For the main course, the Lasagna is quite good, but the portion seems small to me for $10 dollars. Service is usually decent at this location, and it's always been clean during my visits. It's nothing special, and there are certainly better (and cheaper) Italian options in Panama City and the surrounding area.

I had the soup, salad and breadsticks and it was good. Our waiter did a great job of keeping things stocked at our table. She was very friendly. The seating process was a little bit slow in this restaurant. It seemed to me that only one person in the restaurant could seat you. We waited a good 3-4 minutes before the hostess came back to seat us why 2 other people stood at the podium. Overall, this place was okay. Nothing to special but hey, its Olive Garden....Expectations are not very high.

I think this is the same location I visited back in 2007. It was in Panama City so this is probably right. Anyway, the food was wonderful. Can't remember much about the customer service. But since I can't remember anything bad then everything must have went well.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
